A trauma focused occupational therapist (OT) works with children exposed to substances or high stress in utero, witness to substance use, high stress environments, neglect, medical trauma, and exposure to abuse or community violence in early childhood. A Trauma Specialized OT works to address the physical responses to trauma both independently and in partnership with individual trauma therapy to address both brain and body aspects of trauma healing.

Working with adolescents, adults, and couples is my passion and primary focus. Therapy will empower you to overcome life's challenges and replace old patterns and beliefs with a new openness to the possibilities of your potential. My therapeutic techniques provide supportive interactions that can replace one's undesirable outcomes with improvement in self-awareness, ability to cope with trauma and grief, as well as personal barriers. Life is a constant balancing act of ongoing work, school, sports or health demands that include building and maintaining relationships that at the same time may require social, personal, and/ or parenting responsibilities.

My life experiences help me relate closely to survivors of suicide as well as others. As hard as the first counseling appointment can be, you will find counseling is worth it. I am committed to offering a safe, non-judgmental and nurturing environment for healing and growth.

I hold a master degree in social work from Wayne State University. I am passionate about my role and calling to provide Christian and Psychological counseling to children and adults.
