As a licensed professional counselor, my goal is to help individuals, couples, and families identify areas where change is needed to enhance growth, harmony, and balance in their lives. I take a holistic approach to therapy by incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities into my practice including CBT, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Imago Therapy, DBT, Mindfulness Based Therapy (i.e., meditation, guided imagery, deep breathing), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Hypnotherapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Animal Assisted Therapy.

Understanding that there has been a shift in your mental health is the first step for your journey into self-discovery. My role in your journey is to assist you in finding the root of your stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, codependence, and other life altering events and emotions that have disturbed your mental health. Jennifer earned her Master's degree in Social Work at Kennesaw State University graduating cum laude. She is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. A New Jersey native, Jennifer relocated to Cobb County in 2005 as a single parent raising two children. She is active in the community and her church. Jennifer has extensive experience working with varied populations: working with a pregnancy resource center; inpatient adolescents; individuals/families in the community; as well as substance abuse/mental health IOP/PHP treatment settings.

I am a Latina immigrant, a native Spanish speaker, and a naturalized United States Citizen since 1987. After learning English, I graduated from The University of Georgia, undergraduate and graduate school, with the highest academic honors. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 35 years of education and practical experience which are the foundation of my clinical practice.

Since 1997, I've been a Licensed Psychotherapist, progressing from community mental health to working in both inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities, particularly focusing on impaired physicians. Eventually, I ventured into private practice. My journey involved providing career aptitude assessments and mediation services for college students and facilitating C-level team-building exercises. This experience revealed to me the effectiveness of peak performance training for individuals at any stage of life.

I am an Associate Professional Counselor licensed in the state of GA & NY. I am also the owner of Tuyee Holistic Services LLC. My goal is to provide psycho education on mental illness and wellness and to reduce the mental health stigma in our society. Long term or short term, we will work together as a team in your therapeutic journey of self reflection & processing, in order to fully develop the skills that you learn in our sessions to apply in your daily interaction with others and personal development.
