After 14 years of teaching high school and serving in the USAF, Texas Air National Guard, Naval and Army Reserves consecutively, I decided to switch gears and become a counselor. Despite taking 20 years to make up my mind about which military branch to serve in, I was sure about the decision to be a counselor and attended Dallas Seminary to train as a secular and Christian therapist. In addition to the above, I have experience in working with married couples, kids (8 to 80), people going through divorce (having suffered one myself), persons struggling with addictions and trauma victims.

The world around us, and we as individuals, are going through tremendous social and ecological changes. I support individuals experiencing eco-despair, eco-rage, and eco-anxiety arising from eco-empathy, a deep care and concern for the Earth. I have extensive background in working with trauma, especially complex/relational trauma and adverse early childhood experiences.
