Dr. Faur is a licensed psychologist in Ohio specializing in the treatment of OCD, PTSD, anxiety and depression. She has diverse experience working with children, adolescents and adults during graduate training, fellowship in Psychiatry at the Boston University School of Medicine/Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology and the Cleveland VA. Dr. Faur offers diagnostic assessment and empirically based treatment. She is passionate about working with adults with a variety of disorders, life problems and existential crises as well as helping young people struggling with self-esteem, depression, anxiety and behavioral problems.

My clients' past trauma gets in the way of the life they want in so many ways. They aren’t the kind of person they want to be. They feel like they’re failing as a partner, friend, sister, daughter. And their confidence at work is tanking. Before they came to see me, they felt guilty for not being happy and wanting more intimate relationships. They worried about blaming their past and others for the current issues with intimate relationships. And they were pretty certain it would be too overwhelming to share with a stranger what happened to them and what has been going on.

Many of my clients struggle with dread, shame, anxiety, trauma, existential thoughts, as well as negative expectations for themselves and the world around them. Through a combination of evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and a person-centered approach, I walk with my clients on the journey of overcoming these obstacles, toward achieving both their emotional and behavioral goals.

I have over 12 years of professional mental health experience & have worked in a variety of settings, including: youth residential treatment facilities, IOPs, community based agencies, school settings & private practice. My specialties include the diagnosis & treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma related disorders, personality disorders, adjustment disorders & grief. I offer diagnostic assessments and empirically based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.
