I take a person-centered approach to therapy. I prefer to meet the client where they are walking with them on their journey to healing and living their best life. I am trained in CBT, DBT, Trauma-Informed Care, Geriatric/Adult Mental Health, Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness, and faith-based therapies. I have experience and am willing to work with adolescents, teens, and adults. I will see clients in person in Lincoln County, Gaston County, and Iredell County as well as through telehealth.

I ascribe to several theories such as Person Centered Counseling, CBT, and Existential Theory. My areas of expertise include working with children, adolescents, and their families as well as young adults focusing on a wide array of issues including grief, depression, anxiety, anger, stress, ADHD in both children and adults with both males and females, Autism, adjustment issues, and trauma. I utilize varied techniques to reach out to each client individually in a unique way.

I have been successfully practicing therapy for over twenty years. The clients I work with prior to enrolling in treatment express that they feel frustrated, ignored and helpless. I provide individual, couple, and family telehealth therapy. I have successfully treated clients who have experienced physical, emotional, and sexual trauma. I also treat clients with anxiety, anger, communication, and depression issues. My clients see significant improvement and develop tools and skills over time in treatment. I'm very proactive in my person centered approach.

I offer therapy services to all individuals, couples, and families. I also offer parenting classes and anger management. I believe in tailoring treatment to fit the needs of the individual client. For this reason I don't use the same therapeutic approach with every client. Every person is unique and I believe it is important to recognize this. In addition to traditional therapy I also offer "Relationship Checkups". These checkups consist of two sessions designed for couples to attend once a year. The checkup is to provide maintenance, prevention and intervention to keep your relationship strong throughout the year.

I am a Licensed Clinical MH Counselor and Registered Play Therapist specializing in treating children, parents, and women of all ages. Having previously taught kindergarten and serving as a school counselor, I am very familiar with childhood issues and well-equipped to address them. I help women, children, and parents develop effective strategies to manage emotional and behavioral issues; as well as resolve root issues behind repeated patterns of failure in their lives. My goal is to remove hindrances to help individuals reach their full potential in life.
