Raven looks to approach her therapeutic relationships by establishing a strong foundation of trust through authenticity and collaboration, with a client centered and whole person focus. Raven strives to dispel stigmas that are associated with culturally diverse and/or disadvantaged communities that don't always have the access to mental health resources. Raven pulls from DBT, CBT, solution-focused, mindfulness, culturally sensitive, and trauma focused approaches. Raven incorporates the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics within her approach with clients.

I specialize in working with individuals who are seeking change in their life. Making changes, whether in the way we think or the way we behave, can be a very challenging, difficult, and uncomfortable transition. However, it is in meeting these challenges, and making these changes, that growth and empowerment occurs. My strength is in working with individuals who are dealing with chronic childhood abuse or neglect, depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. Equally, my other areas of interest include addictions, (especially with drugs and alcohol), health and wellness, mindfulness meditation skills training, and life coaching.

It takes a great deal of courage to reach out to another human being to ask for help. As a psychotherapist, I believe that the traumas we incur over our lifetimes and in relationships with our families, lovers, friends, co-workers, and employers can be healed in part through the therapeutic relationship. Life is our journey and it shapes, is shaped by, and is interpreted by us.
