It's a privilege to work with youth in foster care and adoption. I strongly believe that all people do the best they can given their own life experiences and the tools that they have available. My role is to help my clients to process negative experiences that hold them back, and provide them with tools to help them find their true selves and reach their inner potential.
I specialize in treating survivors of abuse, complex trauma and dissociative disorders. I use play, sandtray and art to incorporate creative and expressive elements into my treatment of children, adolescents and adults. I am a Certified Trauma Specialist, EMDRIA-Certified EMDR therapist, and hold an ISST-D Certificate in Complex Trauma and Dissociation.
Therapy is a collaborative relationship in which my clients are treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve. A safe therapeutic relationship is one of the essential ingredients for recovery, and I combine this with evidence-based treatments for trauma to provide a safe healing environment for my clients.
