Waitlist for new clients
I am looking to collaborate with clients who feel disconnected from their lives, their relationships and their bodies in order to restore a regulated nervous system. Using both cognitive tools and creative interviewing I want to assist people who are hoping to hone their communication, to recover from dysfunctional family conditioning and connect with their most resilient selves. I am a trauma-informed therapist who has experience working with complex diagnoses, PTSD, chronic illness, anxiety and depression. My emphasis is helping my clients connect with and discover their own self-awareness, resilience and strength.

I also specialize in working within areas of trauma and grief.
I work with children, teens, and adults. Much of my clinical works focuses more on helping the person, not on giving a label. Hope and trust are crucial in working with a therapist. Finding the right fit, the right type of experience, and the right connection is what builds this hope.

Counseling has always been that one unique ability of mine that I felt was a higher calling. The encouragement I get from watching clients meet major milestones continues to increase my passion as a therapist. I am a firm believer that there is no shame in asking for help. Regardless of how major or minor your struggle may be, having someone to talk to makes a massive difference. As a therapist, I strive to provide a nonjudgmental environment that allows clients to feel safe and secure. I work with anxiety, depression, loss, and trauma, in addition to youth, couples, LGBTQ+, and individuals.

Life will never be free of pain or trauma.
Feeling trapped, unable to navigate your daily life? Are your relationships and confidence suffering? Post-traumatic events can transform even minor decisions into daunting challenges. Clients I assist grapple with despair, anxiety, and loneliness, yearning for a life liberated from these struggles. Amidst it all, happiness may seem unattainable. Yet, resisting only prolongs the struggle. To embrace the life we desire, we must first confront and address our trauma, paving the way for genuine healing and the pursuit of a fulfilling life. I integrate IFS and parts work into helping my clients find hope and healing.

I specialize in working with individuals who face trauma, eating disorders, body image challenges, insecurities, unhealthy relationships, partners who have an addiction, unstable family situations and ethnic or cultural discrimination.
One of my all-time favorite quotes is “broken crayons still color”. To understand that you can feel broken and still have value is vital. It means that your worthiness is not based upon the things that have happened to you. Nor is it based upon your mistakes, your outward appearance, or your lack of friendships. The list goes on and on. My personal belief of worthiness means that it applies to ALL and bears no cost, much like the concept of grace. This is a belief I try to bring into all my sessions.

I work with teens, adults and families experiencing trauma, addiction, mood disorders, body dissatisfaction.
Are you struggling to connect with your true self? Do the beliefs you have about yourself affect your relationships? It can be challenging to embrace your core identity, and unpack the beliefs we hold about ourselves. Together we can learn to identify the ways in which you have protected yourself through relational patterns and coping mechanisms and create space to find who you really are outside of a history that may have left you feeling wounded, or not enough. As your therapist, I strive to create a relationship that provides the security needed to navigate these challenges, enabling you to find safety within yourself and others.

Specializing in Trauma, ADHD, and LGBTQIA+ populations, I utilize an Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, & EMDR treatment approach.
Struggles with past discomfort and challenging memories have been impacting your focus, connections, and day-to-day life. You feel trapped in patterns that have worn out their welcome, and breaking free on your own seems daunting. Navigating the intricate landscape of trauma requires a nuanced and compassionate approach. I recognize that trauma is a deeply personal experience, impacting individuals in multifaceted ways. It's more than a singular event; it can be the echoes of past wounds, the weight of unspoken stories, or the persistent influence of adverse experiences.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
