I have been in private practice for eight years. I am dedicated to providing all of my clients with compassionate and empathetic support and always a non-judgemental space for sharing. I recognize that each family history, structure and dynamic is unique and so should be their therapeutic approach. While I believe that YOU are the only expert in your life, I can help guide you to solutions by offering a fresh perspective consisting of ideas and suggestions based on my experience. I strive to consistently help clients process, heal and understand how the trauma they have experienced in their life may inform their current challenges.

The road to healing and wholeness is a personal and sacred journey. My philosophy, as both a clinical psychologist and life coach, is that the human spirit can be empowered to overcome traumatic experiences and memories that keep one from enjoying a more fulfilling life. I am affiliated with Pali Momi Medical Center and work with physicians to provide an integrated approach to health and wellness.

I'm raised in Waipahu, HI and did my undergraduate and graduate education in Hawaii. I worked as a counselor for Leeward Community College and UH Manoa. I completed my predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at UC Berkeley. I also worked as a psychologist and stress management peer program supervisor at UC Santa Barbara and as a psychologist at HI State Hospital. I understand local culture and am familiar with its unique challenges and issues. I relate well with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures and have a special interest in depression, anxiety, relationship concerns and complex trauma.

I was born and raised in Hawaii and my passion is to support children, teens, and adults within my local community. I have been in practice for the past 14+ years, and it is my desire is to provide a family-friendly environment with professional and ethical services to meet the emotional, physical, and social well-being of children, teens, adults and their families.

In practice since 1983, I am the Founder and Director of Ola Hou Clinic in Aiea, Hawaii. My patients have ranged from age 9 months to 93, and have worked with patients from most religious backgrounds and cultures. Personally I am from a Christian background, but respect and work with people within their value system. The Clinic is multidisciplinary with male and female therapists working with children, teens, adults, families and groups. I do consultations, workshops, seminars and humanitarian work. As Executive Director of "Roads to Hope" Humanitarian Mission, I have worked in 28 countries to help with trauma.
