I am trained in multiple trauma modalities: Psychodrama, EMDR, and Brainspotting.
As a client centered, experiential therapist, I’m dedicated to helping people transform their life stories. My work focuses on supporting my clients in identifying and challenging harmful narratives and cultivating more connected relationships with themselves, their loved ones, and the world around them. The Latin root “cura'' means to heal. This is why I believe in collectively curating our shared space, goals, and work to transform wounding narratives into healing scars that connect us. Passionate about unpacking stories, I pursued this thread in my education through a double masters in history and psychology.

I have decades of experience helping people heal trauma, addiction, dysfunction, relationship pain, and all the myriad things that limit us from experiencing well-being.
Everyone experiences difficulties in their life. Some difficulties are transient. Sometimes, however, there are situations, difficult emotions, or relationship dynamics that won't resolve on their own or are so overwhelming that they become dangerous for you or others around you. This is when getting outside help from a compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled professional who has experience working with these issues can be so beneficial. This is where I come in.

I am trauma trained and certified in EMDR, with a firm belief in the mind/body/spirit connection and how that plays a major role in all mental health issues.
Finding a therapist can be a daunting task. For one, we're all so busy, it's just one more thing to do. But you're also likely walking through something difficult - depression, anxiety, loss, overwhelm, or a myriad of other things. And for that, I'm sorry. The good news is, there is hope. How do I know? Because by seeking support, you are already moving towards the path of healing. We may not have control over our circumstances, but we do have the agency to move towards healing. Our experiences really do write our stories, and therapy is a powerful tool to help you read and understand your own story, which is part of healing.

Specializing in trauma, addiction and EMDR therapy, I work with people to help them better understand the experiences that have shaped their present difficulties. Trauma is any adverse, negative experience or event. Anxiety, depression & addiction are common signs of trauma. I provide a safe and supportive space to help people make sense of what has happened, understand how it affects them presently, and to feel hopeful for the future.

You’ve experienced a great loss or significant trauma and your world feels dark and confusing. You feel lost, overwhelmed, anxious, angry, numb, and exhausted – often all at the same time. You’re wondering who you are now and if you’ll ever feel like yourself again. I get it. I’ve experienced it. Grief and traumatic stress are messy and unruly, and they definitely don’t obey clearly defined stages or fit neatly into any timeframe. Still, as painful as this is to hear, grief is normal, natural, and necessary. And, healing from a traumatic experience is possible. You don’t have to face either alone. I’d be honored to walk with you.
