I also work with individuals suffering from depression, grief, anger, anxiety and provide parental consultation; I also volunteer for Trauma Support Services of North Texas. My credentials include being a National Certified Counselor and was previously a School Counselor and Teacher with over 10 years experience.
Additional experience include being trained in EMDR and Brainspotting Phase 1 & 2 to assist clients who have experienced trauma, & an Adult Mental Health First Aid Trainer. *SUMMER GROUP** Beauty comes in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. Minority youth are pre-judged as being socially unacceptable, uneducated, and inadequate. In order for these group members to become successful, it is very important that the strategies taught be implemented to fulfill everyone members needs. This group would concentrate on positive self-identity, self-awareness/esteem, appropriate behavior and academic success. The members will learn that they are somebody; they count and make a difference in society - regardless of their color, race or gender. Another main objective for the group is to develop positive self-awareness/esteem within their culture and society.
