My goal as a therapist is to assist clients in finding their own path to improve overall health and quality of life through a greater understanding of self, relationships and happiness. As a former teacher and school counselor, I have a wide range of experience working with adolescents dealing with anxiety, depression and school related issues, etc. I have seen how demanding this period of life can be and how having the right support system in place can make all the difference.

I provide therapy services to adolescents, adults, families, and groups at Auburn Psychological Wellness Center, in Auburn, AL. It is important that we work together in exploring goals related to challenges being experienced in one’s life. I have a clinical specialty in working with individuals experiencing trauma specifically race-based trauma. Also, I have other general areas of emphasis.

I specialize in working with adult women who feel like they are carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders. I help "high achieving" women overcome childhood, sexual, and/or relationship trauma, as well as the daily stressors of life. I teach women that it is okay to remove the Super-Woman cape that is worn as a badge of honor & how to prioritize their mental health and wellness. Additionally, I help couples identify how past life experiences and trauma impact the dynamics of their relationship. I work with couples to overcome hardships and work towards creating a more healthy foundation of partnership.

Frontline Therapy was born out of a desire to provide accessible, evidence-based treatments, to Auburn's local veterans and emergency responders; with the combined goal of serving anyone who has experienced a trauma. Ever since we opened our doors in the beginning of 2020, we have been committed to excellence because we believe that individuals who have experienced trauma, and those that work on the frontlines deserve 'front of the line' treatment. We also treat depression, anxiety, grief, substance abuse, and relational distress.

Prior to creating Addiction Specialists LLC, I was the Director of a men’s treatment facility, provided addictions and trauma counseling services for adults and families in a private practice setting, the Program Director for an outpatient facility, and a Mental Health and Addiction Specialists at Auburn University Athletics Sports Medicine. I bring over 25 years of experience in the field of addiction treatment

My mission is to help people gain answers, satisfying changes, and self-counseling skills, in any area of life which is giving excess pain and frustration. These aspects of life include personal issues such as trauma, defensive walls, and any other barriers to life satisfaction, pains resonating between mind and body, relationship quandaries, life aspirations, philosophy, and spirituality. As an Integrated Mental Health practitioner, I help you find providers, knowledge and self-help practices, for medical and naturopathic mind-body health. I also work with artists on performance psychology.

My background is unique and varied which provides a broad range of knowledge, and experiences from having served in the U.S. Army, worked in Law Enforcement for over twenty-five years, worked on a church staff and as Therapist. I find it rewarding to help individuals realize their potential, see hope in a better future and becoming their best selves in life. We should not be defined by the negative beliefs we hold about ourselves but in the positive changes we can make. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, groups, adults, and adolescents.
