I practice from a holistic, wellness and strength-based perspective utilizing multi-modal approaches/interventions: Supportive, Humanistic, Transpersonal, Psychodynamic, Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), Meridian Tapping (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Skills training (communication, coping, anxiety reduction, parenting).
I serve older teens and adults in individual, couples, and family counseling. By clearing emotional blocks and increasing self-awareness, clients become more resilient and equipped to find solutions to their life dilemmas. I describe myself as having a servant spirit and a nonjudgmental, strength-based approach in connecting with each unique person. It is my privilege and blessing to be a vessel for healing as I witness growth and transformation in those who seek healthy change for their lives.

We thank you for taking the time out to visit our page. We are a holistic group practice that utilizes a transpersonal psychology perspective. The idea is that it's not just the mind and body that can need healing and looking after, but also the spirit itself. Furthermore, we are devoted to the liberation of Black individuals, couples, families, and communities across the diaspora by using spiritual modalities in addition to our conventional training in marriage and family. This is effective in aiding those who receive our services to achieve holistic wellness. We provide individual, couple, family, sex and group therapy.

I have extensive training in western psychological approaches, most particularly Internal Family Systems, humanistic, and transpersonal.
I am seeking patients who are particularly interested in their psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual development, not just reducing their suffering. Patients who are interested in expanding their joy, improving their awareness, increasing their risk-taking capacity, and making more thoughtful and conscious choices. I work with adults. I also teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction classes several times a year. See atlantamindfulness.com for the class schedule. In addition I have extensive training in psychedelic integration.

My approach, developed over 15 years of practice, has been influenced by my own healing journey as well as clinical experience and training in mindfulness, transpersonal, body-focused, cognitive behavioral, and other experiential psychotherapies.
Welcome! In my practice, Inner Path Counseling, I work with clients to move toward finding wholeness, balance, and embracing their truest self. Often beliefs and old patterns of behavior are getting in the way. I focus on helping clients identify and shift their beliefs and behaviors so that they can achieve the goals they set for themselves. Your internal experience and your relationships can improve.

My approach to counseling is thoughtful and eclectic, drawing from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, humanistic/existential, and transpersonal therapies.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over two decades of experience in community mental health care. My goal is to help people from all walks of life identify what they value, change what they want to change, and make the often difficult decisions that can ultimately lead to less suffering and greater meaning, purpose, and fulfillment. I work with adolescents and adults ages 16 and older; some are facing significant mental health challenges, others may be looking for ways of managing life stressors and transitions with greater clarity and ease.

My approach is experiential; my philosophy is feminist, transpersonal and humanistic.
With more than 40 years of experience, I believe that psychotherapy can provide a "safe container," a non-judgmental place, in which clients can confront their issues in complete confidentiality without fear of rejection. There is no blueprint for this process; together we create the path leading to each client's inner wisdom and healing.

My commitment to my own healing journey led me to the MA in Psy at University of West GA in Humanistic and Transpersonal psychology.

Are you looking for tools designed especially for you to help bring a sense of peace? Do you desire better relationships? Do you need someone to help hold a safe space for you as you face specific challenges in your life? Are you ready to embark upon the Hero's Journey of Self Individuation? Are you desiring a deeper sense of Purpose for your life. Do you have a lingering sense that there is so much more to life, but you don't know where to turn?

My approach is holistic--holding mind, body, emotions, and spirit equally--strength-based, and integrative, drawing together humanistic, psychodynamic, systems, and transpersonal approaches.
Whether you are facing life challenges such as relationship problems, addiction, work concerns, or health issues, you can move through with more elegance and ease. To me therapy is a gift--a gift of opportunity. An opportunity to heal from the past by increasing understanding of it and gleaning from it the gems that it holds. An opportunity to break long-held rigid patterns born of that past and to start consciously creating new, flexible ones. An opportunity to hold hope for a future free from the past that makes the present a time of freedom and choice.

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of your purpose in life? Are you hurt and unsure if you are ready to move on, but just can’t seem to uncover a new path? Some people just need someone to listen, get their experience, and understand how life is for them. You may have tried the same old things, which don’t seem to be working anymore. It’s often hard to ask for help, and seems a bit strange if you haven't been to therapy before.

Transpersonal Therapists

How does transpersonal therapy work?

Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?

Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?

Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?

There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
