If you have difficulty forgiving yourself for what you have done, said, or failed to say have relationship conflict, feel depressed, anxious, or have trauma, you need a therapist who is empathetic, knowledgeable, and experienced. In my many years practicing I've had the pleasure of teaching, writing, and helping individuals, couples, and families with vastly different problems. As everyone is different, I adapt to your particular needs. I listen and I partner with you to accomplish what works best for you as I know a wide array of treatment approaches. In fact, I have taught them. I have a very broad knowledge base to draw upon.
My specialties include trauma recovery, loss, and bereavement recovery, depression, and anxiety treatment, and couples therapy. I have had success helping people overcome traumatic issues using a variety of methods from talk therapy to EMDR and expressive therapy. I've helped people from diverse cultural/ religious groups. I see our work as a team effort.
In our work together I take into account who you are, the whole person: psychological, physical, social, cultural, spiritual. Together, we will help you feel better be that talking about feelings, relationships, thoughts, behaviors, working with EMDR, or using the expressive traditions affecting your mind, body, and brain.
