My approach is holistic, heart based, and draws on my training in MBSR, IFS, EMDR, somatic, and transpersonal therapies.
Do you feel overwhelmed by your emotions, sensitivity, or past or present traumas? Does your life feel like it's been taken over by grief, addiction, or anxiety? If you feel a readiness to take the next step in your healing journey, you won't be alone. I'm here to support you. Through learning to deeply listen to yourself with love, presence, compassion, and courage, you can begin to connect with your innate healing capacity, and wholeness of being. Gradually learning to live from this place in yourself invites a soft joy, relief from suffering, transformative healing, and insight into how to live your best life.

My philosophy about providing therapy is that we are all here on a journey. Every person has a unique life journey. Life can be difficult and challenging. Sometimes, people get stuck and experience difficulty living life comfortably. It is my goal to walk the challenging part of your journey with you, provide nurture, and enable coping and healing to help you experience life the way you hope to. I practice a Biopsychosocial-Spiritual philosophy that guides my understanding of problems. I believe that care should be evidenced based and the therapist individualizes care to meet the person's needs. Office and Online appointments.

Transpersonal Therapists

How does transpersonal therapy work?

Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?

Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?

Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?

There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
