I have enormous respect for those who ask for help: it's a true sign of strength. I consider being a therapist a privilege and admire my clients who vulnerably reveal themselves and their experiences in order to grow and heal. Therapy is most successful when there is a good connection between therapist and client. It's important to find a therapist that you like, trust, and respect. I have a background in teaching and theater arts which has provided insight to my understanding of how we learn and how we change/create behavior. With humor, skill, compassion, intelligence and creativity, I have helped many people gain a sense of equilibrium after the rug had been ripped out from beneath their feet.
In addition to my private practice, I work as a staff therapist in a community mental health out patient clinic in northern NJ, run several support groups and am an adjunct professor at a NJ university.
