I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in VA & NC, Certified EMDR Therapist & Consultant, & Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S) with over 25 years experience working with youth & adults in a wide variety of settings. I found our practice, Tranquil Mind Therapy, LLC in 2016, and we have 5 talented therapists providing general & trauma therapy for clients of all ages, from children to older adults! We partner with clients to process and heal from past/present wounds, achieve balance & resilience, and address various challenges with empowering solutions in a warm, safe, confidential therapeutic space.
Our specialities include general & trauma approaches: EMDR, EMDR Intensives, Playful EMDR, IFS parts work, DBT & other modalities to address anxiety, depression, PTSD/CPTSD, OCD, ASD, parenting, relationship issues, narcissistic abuse, grief/loss, etc. I also provide individual/group LCSW and RPT supervision (in VA), and EMDR consultation (in all states).
We use a compassionate, creative, strength-based, and client-focused approach in individual & group therapy. We work as therapeutic partners, helping children, teens, and adults tap into their own resiliency to get through various challenges and grow from these experiences. Licensure Supervision Group (for Virginia MSWs)
Stephanie, a Virginia Board of Social Work Approved Clinical Supervisor, is offering a biweekly Friday Supervision Group for Northern Virginia-based MSW clinicians working towards LCSW licensure. She combines case consultation, teachings, and self-reflective analysis, etc. through group discussions, sandtray activities, article reviews, and more. We have fun!
