I have worked extensively with individuals of all ages on complex issues, and have specialized training in working with adolescents and children. My experience is in working on trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, ODD, anger management, suicidal ideation/self harm behaviors, and parenting/co-parenting issues. Addressing these concerns in a supportive and nonjudgemental environment is my top priority.
I use a variety of evidence based therapy approaches that really see results. I use CBT as my primary therapy and specialize in TF-CBT. Trauma focused CBT is used with clients who have experienced something traumatic. I also include family and other systems in therapy when helpful. I have studied and also use art and play in my therapy sessions.
My belief is that you are the expert of you, and my role is to assist you on your path in becoming a happier, healthier person. I value being real and authentic in therapy as I feel this is key to being effective and present for people. It is such an honor for me to have someone come in to my office and share what they have been through.
