I work with children, adolescents and adults on a variety of issues. In addition to counseling experience, I have over ten years of experience teaching middle and high school. I strive to provide a supportive environment that embraces unique cognitive styles and fosters self-acceptance. I use a client-centered, trauma-informed approach drawing from different theoretical orientations in order to create an individual plan for each client. My goal is to help clients realize their potential, manage stress and difficult emotions, navigate everyday challenges and interact effectively with others.
My experience includes work with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, trauma, self-esteem and stress management. I use a variety of Cognitive Behavioral approaches and teach Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills to individuals and groups. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
