For the past five years, I have dedicated my practice to serving the Veteran community. This work has given me deep insight into the resilience of the human spirit and the specialized care required to treat the "invisible wounds" of service. Whether you are a Veteran or a civilian navigating past trauma, I provide a grounded, expert-led space to help you move from surviving to thriving. My background as a researcher and author provides me with a unique lens on how the brain works. I am a mental health advocate, have led large-scale government-funded grants on the brain, and hosted regular mental health segments on FCN and WJXT
As a Certified Trauma Professional and researcher, I bridge the gap between brain science and real-world recovery. For 5 years, I’ve worked extensively with Veterans on PTSD and anxiety/depression. Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I share skills to regulate emotions and tolerate distress, moving you from surviving toward a life of purpose.
What our sessions could look like:
-Skill-Based Support: Using DBT to build mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation.
-Trauma-Informed Care: A safe environment where we process the past without becoming re-traumatized.
-Collaborative Goals: We focus on the practical goals to find meaning and purpose
