Having the chance to talk and be heard in a non-judgmental space can be the key to breaking out of old patterns, gaining insight, and arriving at valuable new perspectives. My main areas of focus are trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, and life transitions. I work with adults of all ages, including seniors.
When we are feeling stuck emotionally or behaviorally there is usually an element of avoidance. I help clients identify, face, and tolerate difficult emotions. I utilize ACT, existential, and exposure techniques, including ERP for OCD. I also have experience with migration/acculturation issues and conduct immigration evaluations in English and Spanish.
