My passion is providing the best evidence based treatment for Anxiety, OCD and related disorders. I know personally how debilitating OCD can be as a parent of children with OCD. I also know that evidenced based treatment works and people can reclaim their lives and pursue those things in life that bring them meaning and joy. I received specialized training through the IOCDF (International OCD Foundation) and NOCD in Exposure and Response Prevention, the gold standard treatment for OCD and completed SPACE training, a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety. I have advanced training in CBT.
I strive to build a relationship that is supportive, trusting, collaborative and nonjudgmental. Overcoming fears or worry can feel immensely challenging AND rewarding - I help my clients do so with warmth, professionalism and humor. I bring the same qualities to my work coaching parents in the most effective ways to support their children.
I take a strengths-based approach to my work. I want to help you identify positive qualities and abilities you already possess in order to guide you in using those same assets and capabilities to manage intense emotions and urges, improve your self-esteem, and strengthen your relationships.
