Over the past 35 years as a therapist, I find clients I work well with want a nonjudgmental, alternative knowledgeable/ friendly, expert therapist. All my services are provided from a base philosophy that is non-pathologizing and emphasizes strengths not deficits. You and I then use my skills and experience, and your knowledge about yourself and your situation to find good paths forward based on your priorities and needs – finding out what those are is often our first task.
My specialities in Trauma, the LGBTQIA+ community, Relationships - Poly, ENM, Traditional marriages, as well as in anxiety and mood disorders are all based in 30+ years of study and clinical practice in varied settings. My specialities also include chronic illness, medical trauma, moral injury, and dissociative disorders from an informed and researched place
My practice is built on 30+ years of experience. It is also built on multiple lived experiences that give me empathy, insight and a nonjudgemental point of view. I am a partner of 35 years, proud mother of a transgender adult daughter, and a "bonus" chosen family son. My community involvement is deep and strong. All these inform my life and practice.
