We all have times when we need help with getting through the challenges of life. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, other mental health concerns; or perhaps parenting a child with emotional and behavioral concerns, I am glad to help. I have twenty plus years of experience working with individuals and families in settings including: partial hospitalization, preschool, juvenile court, adolescent residential treatment, nonprofit organizations and community mental health. I have expertise in helping with parenting, child development, anger management, depression, self esteem, grief/loss, and trauma. I recieved multisystemic therapy training, which incorporates family systems work with understanding how a person's interaction in the home, school, and community impacts successful change and progress.
My intention in therapy is to provide a calm, supportive environment that is focused on individual needs, without judgement. I use a blend of counseling theories (cognitive behavioral, person centered, solution focused, etc). When my clients show an interest or need, I use play and art in therapy also.
