I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2010 and have worked in a variety of settings - with children, adolescents, couples, adults, military members, veterans, and many unique individuals. I am also an AASECT certified sex therapist. In my work, I traverse some of people's darkest times with them, helping them to not feel alone and to know that there can be peace within the storms of life. I give couples whose love stories have reached tumultuous territory the hope to keep building their lives together. It has been an honor and a privilege to impact the lives of others in a positive way.
I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and specialize in working with individuals and families impacted by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, particularly related to military service. I have also attended trainings related to Gottman and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I am a Certified Sex Therapist with AASECT.
I utilize a narrative and strength-based approach to working with individuals and couples or families, examining each person's unique perspective of the problem situation and how it impacts their lives as well as the family unit as a whole. I respect and value the unique qualities that each person brings to the therapy relationship.
