What would you achieve if nothing were holding you back? I help adults loosen the grip that anxiety and depressed moods have on them. I have been a practicing psychotherapist for over 20 years. Lets set up a call to discuss if your mental health is holding you back. I also have a specialty of ADHD, for those who need the specialized treatment ADHD requires.

My background includes an MSW from NYU, culture and language at the Catholic University of Ponce (Puerto Rico). My career has included roles as a clinician, supervisor to clinicians and interns and director of a NYC mental health clinic. Some of my trainings include CBT with Beck Institute, study of attachment and neurology of ADHD at Object Relations Ins.

My experience with meditation and mindfulness is from teachings and retreat with Buddhist Thich Nhat Han. I welcome adult clients of all backgrounds, religions, genders, abilities, races, ethnicities, and citizenship statuses.

One group I commonly treat is cisgender women in menopause and perimenopause, a common time ADHD symptoms worsen. As well, I frequently treat graduate students struggling with ADHD, mood issues and anxiety, as this is also a common time symptoms worsen.

Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents

Inspired by the book, Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents by Clinical Psychologist Lindsay Gibson, this is a virtual therapeutic group for adults. An emotionally immature parent is one who could be present physically, but unable to provide nurturing and validation children need. Qualities of these parents include: tendency to be rigid, resistant to repairing relationships, lack respect for differences and their self esteem depends on child's compliance. Part of how the children adapt is ignoring what they need in effort to satisfy the unsatisfiable parent. The group will explore how these patterns can maladaptively interfere today. NYS residents.
