At times in our lives, we might find ourselves consumed with patterns of over-thinking, intense sadness, and a longing for healing. We find ourselves wanting to understand and to be understood. By making the sometimes difficult choice to seek out counseling, we are acknowledging a part in us that desires peace. We are saying that we are ready to make an effort in changing something we are unsatisfied with.
The individuals I meet with have battled trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, anger, self-worth issues and so much more. I approach each client as an individual with unique experiences deserving of attention and belonging. To me, therapy is most effective when approached through true vulnerability.
I truly believe that counseling is important because individuals experience true growth with safe people in safe spaces. My desire is to be a safe person, in a safe space as we begin the journey of deeper understanding and healing. If this is what you are looking for, I would love to hear from you.
