As a board certified music therapist, I believe creativity is an essential tool for life. Creativity makes us resilient, effective, helps us solve problems, and helps us imagine what is possible. You may be looking for creative ways to approach therapy for you or your child. You or your child may identify as neurodivergent and want to explore ways to manage stress, develop coping strategies, express complex emotions, develop emotional intelligence, and enjoy positive and affirming social experiences. Music creates a rich environment for all of that all while helping individuals build self-esteem and a positive sense of self.
I specialize in working with children and adolescents/young adults. My holistic approach to music therapy is strength-based, resource-oriented, client-centered, and neurodivergent affirming and is informed by psychodynamic and humanistic theories. I apply various methods of music therapy and provide therapeutic/adapted voice and piano lessons.
I believe in everyone's unique abilities and potential. I love collaborating with my clients and working along side them to balance the creative process and the therapeutic process.
