Do you sometimes feel things are overwhelming or too much has happened, so it’s hard visualizing things getting better? Do you sometimes find yourself turning to unhealthy coping skills to help fill voids which only seems to bring about a temporary release, emptiness or more stress? Some things we can not control which can cause tension in our lives, however, I feel we can learn to better manage how we respond and react to situations. I believe in order for true healing to begin, we must first be willing to be open and honest with ourselves. Within all of us lies hope, strength, the need for connection, and feeling understood.
I have experience working with adolescents and adults. I have previously worked at an acute inpatient psychiatric facility for children and adolescents. I am now solely in private practice, and I offer individual, family/group, and couples counseling. My approach to therapy is our past holds the keys to what we are struggling with today.
My personal mottos are “it’s never too late to change,” and “every day is a fresh start and a new opportunity.” I feel it’s important not to be distracted by “symptoms,” but rather focus on the “root.” My goal is to provide a safe space for you to be your true authentic self.
