I provide mental health counseling services to adolescents and adults, specializing in the treatment of trauma, including PTSD. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have been the victim of abuse, have been sexually assaulted, have had miscarriages, and who have experienced a single incident trauma such as a car accident. I also work with people who are struggling with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and difficult life transitions.
I see clients from 11 years and up. I am certified in EMDR, an evidence based therapeutic approach that assists individuals in the healing of trauma and other distressing life events. I also draw from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in my work with clients.
I believe that in order for healing to take place, it is essential that the client feels comfortable with their therapist. I do my very best to provide a warm, nurturing space for clients to explore their emotions and find ways to feel calm. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you, learn your story, and work with you to reach your goals.
