Choosing a therapist is no easy task, and with couples therapy it is essential to work with someone trained extensively in the work. Relationships are the core of society and our lives, and yet we are never taught about the basics of communication. Beyond that, I work on what keeps couples from applying the skills. I'm am an active therapist willing to challenge problematic thinking and behaviors that keep couples from feeling connected. My work centers on teaching how to talk about, and listen to, feelings to build empathy and connection. Learn what works and how to get closer to those you care about (including yourself!).

Would it feel good to stop blaming yourself and/or another and start fighting the "problem", as a team? My practice is gay and lesbian affirmative and culturally sensitive, I help locate the problem and its effects, and uncover overlooked examples of resilience and success. I offer both in-person and video sessions on weekdays/nights and Saturdays.

I completed a two year training at UCLA which resulted in becoming certified by the American Association of Couples and Sex Therapists (AACAST) as a Couples and Sex Therapist. I am also a fully-trained (EMDRIA) EMDR therapist. I do not accept any insurance, but I do offer superbills if you have a PPO with mental health benefits.

I do not accept insurance, but if you have a PPO Plan it is possible that your benefits would cover partial reimbursement for the fees. If that is the case, you would pay me directly and I would send you a superbill to submit to your insurance company.
