Hi, my name is Tonia Zarrella and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. I specialize in women's and maternal mental health. In therapy, I use a variety of evidence-based treatment practices (solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy) to best fit you and the goals you want to accomplish. I take pride in lifting up and encouraging women, and the people who love them. I am passionate about and trained to work with and support pregnant/new moms experiencing perinatal mood disorders and women experiencing a variety of life transitions.
I strive to create a kind and supportive environment for my clients. I enjoy using humor in sessions when appropriate. I truly believe laughter is good for the soul. My work as a therapist comes from my innate desire to help others. I enjoy getting to know people, hearing their stories, and offering up solutions when they are feeling stuck.
I believe in a step-by step approach to meeting goals. We will choose 2-3 goals you are most eager to achieve and go from there. During our first session together, I will take the time to get to know you. I will ask you questions related to what brings you to therapy, a bit about your past, and what you envision for your future.
