I listen with an open mind and collaborate with patients to achieve lasting, meaningful change. My approach is psychoanalytic and I'm interested in the complex relationships between the events of daily life, personal history, and interior experience. This practice of rigorous self-reflection is rewarding work that allows for surprising transformations.
My primary aim is creating space in which a patient may say and feel anything. By paying close attention to previously unprocessed aspects of experience, new insights and new outcomes become possible. When emotional safety and risk are well-balanced, the process allows for a freer, more realized way of being oneself.
I offer a brief phone call (about 15 minutes) free of charge, during which we may decide to meet for a full consultation over the course of 3 sessions. If it feels like a good fit, we can continue on a regular basis and if not, I will have enough information to make a well-founded referral to an appropriate therapist.
