For 10 years I have worked to develop compassion and empathy in assisting individuals and the families that have solicited my support in meeting the challenges and stressful situations that seems to be an unavoidable part of life.
I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families struggling with past trauma and challenging relationships. I seek to help in a manner consistent with my client's religious and cultural beliefs. My therapeutic style is person-centered and includes CBT/ACT, and currently being credentialed in equine therapy and substance abuse and addiction
I have worked as a therapist in Western Carolina for over 12 years and I am familiar with the unique culture of our area. My goal as counselor is to develop a therapeutic alliance that encourages a mutual exploration how we arrived at "where we are today" and find create a path to a "value driven" life.
