As a narrative therapist, I take a positive approach to therapy; helping clients build on their strengths and resources as a foundation for change. I believe that therapy can offer clients much more than a band aid for their problems but that it can help transform their lives and relationships in meaningful ways. I believe that therapy does not need to be a long-term process and encourage clients to take an active part in therapy.
As a therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience, I have worked with a wide range of personal and relationship issues. I specialize in the working with couples seeking to restore their relationships, women who have experienced the effects of abuse and violence, and men seeking to be more accountable in their relationships.
I have extensive experience in the practice of narrative therapy. I have published articles related to my work as a narrative therapist and regularly give workshops and trainings on the topic of narrative therapy throughout the Unites States and internationally. I am the co-editor of the Journal of Contemporary Narrative Therapy.
