I assist adults seeking help with mild dysthymia, situational depression or anxiety, stress, relationship problems, career concerns, loss, meaning, mortality and other existential issues. I tailor an approach specific to your need. Existential therapy is my foundation though I use an eclectic approach and draw upon various therapies. Therapy may be brief in duration or lengthy. It is sometimes uncomfortable - the "price" of honest introspection and change. I don't have your "answer" but will help you seek it. I strive - in the words of Irvin Yalom - to help "remove obstacles blocking the patient's path".
The inability to develop and sustain gratifying relationships belies many problems, I believe the therapy session can be an "arena" to help increase self-awareness and explore revisions to one's interpersonal style. As such therapy may help challenge roles, rules, interpretations and encourage honest introspection, mindfulness, and self-acceptance.
I see adults exclusively for individual psychotherapy only. I maximize privacy in scheduling. I'm available for only 2 sessions most Saturday mornings (when I have openings) and carry a maximum of 2 clients at one time. I accept only private pay.
