With over three decades of counseling experience, including 26 years in public school settings, coupled with my background as a football coach, I'm committed to leveraging my expertise and fervor to inspire and support you in realizing the changes you aspire to make. My own experiences in overcoming obstacles and achieving success has profoundly influenced my life, and the goal in my practice is to instill those same beliefs in you as you strive for a successful outcome.
My areas of clinical focus are anger management, alcohol and drug abuse and teen/young adult issues. I often work well with clients who are having difficulty managing their anger in their relationships, who want to successfully cut back on their alcohol or drug use, and who are struggling in school with bullying, confidence, anxiety and career confusion.
In our first session, I will help you to calm your emotions and refocus, so we can clearly understand your situation and begin building a plan to improve. I most often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my sessions, which involves looking at how your thoughts affect your emotions and learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings.
