My passion is working with clients who desire to recover from substance use disorders. I work with early, middle, and late stage recovery candidates - both individuals and their families. My primary focus is the use of individual & group interventions to assist with the recognition of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral triggers which cause relapse. These paramount issues when resolved can lead to freedom from the bondage of addiction. I also specialize in grief/loss, anxiety & depressive disorders, building healthy relationships, and co-dependency. My mission is simple - to help others with compassion, empathy, & respect.
I am a licensed professional counselor in the State of Pennsylvania and have Advanced Certification in Alcohol & Drug Counseling. I have been working in the Treatment field for over 35 years and am currently 41 years sober. I have worked in all levels of care - from Detox/Residential to IOP to traditional Outpatient. The Primary Alcohol Group is committed to help persons struggling with substance abuse and the transition back to their normal routine while steering clear of substances that have negatively impacted their lives. Clients learn about their triggers and develop strategies to cope with stress and uncomfortable feelings. The Group is CBT based.
