I work with individuals, couples and families. The relationship between the client(s) and me is important in achieving goals we set together. How trauma and abuse have influenced our current lives is a key issue. I also feel obsessive and compulsive patterns of behavior in our daily lives are important to examine.
I enjoy working with teens and adults, their relationships with themselves and others. The issues of separation, loss, freedom, dependence and independence are crucial to examine as one leaves home and parental influences. The two questions in therapy are: who are we and how do we feel about who we are.
I am not a member of HMO insurance panels but I do work on a sliding scale basis. (Normal fee is $140.) I ask clients to pay at the end of each session or each month. I offer to bill the insurance company, which will reimburse the client, if applicable.
