My approach to therapy is holistic, which looks at the whole person. Meeting mental health needs is important. Our physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing are also vital to wholeness and healing. I enjoy working with young people, especially children from hard places. Collaborating with parents as I work with children of all ages is an important part of the therapeutic process.

My approach is person-centered, relationally-based, and narrative. I work with a wide variety of clientele, but some of my strengths include working with children and families, working with men, and integrating culture and spirituality, especially Christian spirituality, into the treatment plan, if desired.

I am an Asian family therapist, owner of Re-Story Child and Family Therapy. My clients regardless of ages have their own stories that shape how they view themselves, relate to the world and guide their daily decisions about life. These stories carrying family history, life crisis or transitions, illnesses, relationship or vocational stress, caring for loved ones with special needs and so on, often show up in conversations in my practice. My clients find it therapeutic discussing these narratives and where suitable, "Re-Story" them to allow new perspectives to emerge and to resolve matters initially described as stuck or unfinished.

My desire is to support you and your family through the challenges of life. I have over 20 years of experience working with school aged children/teens and parents. My preferred counseling theory is Cognitive Behavioral Theory, but I am familiar with a wide variety of other counseling theories (EMDR, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Systems) that may work better for you and your family. He has been serving Lewis, Thurston and Mason counties for the last 5 years. he has a BA from the University of West Georgia and Walden University a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling.
