We are now "surviving" daily, rather than "thriving" and benefiting from full life experience, fearing we lack the tools to manage these obstacles.

I have been treating women for over 25 years who are experiencing feelings of depression and/or anxiety that sometimes coincide with lifestyle transitions, such as pregnancy, new motherhood, postpartum depression, miscarriage, infertility, menopause, relationship issues, divorce, PMS or returning to the work force. I work as a partnership in helping each woman to resolve issues in her life, in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I feel that it's very important that your voice be heard. I can help you to find the relief that you deserve. I can help you feel like your "old self" again.

I believe that the relationship and trust built in therapy are the most important and necessary agents for meaningful, lasting change, and that compassionate care is essential to your feeling validated and empowered throughout the process. Without these connections, even the most qualified and well-intentioned therapist may fail in attempting to help. As such, I devote much time and energy in my sessions towards developing and enhancing therapeutic relationships, making sure to always listen carefully and empathically, so as to fully understand the sensitive issues discussed from your perspective and at your pace.

For over 20 years, I've specialized in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder, providing treatment to children and adults. I assist individuals with exploring and expanding their abilities in the areas of adaptive social-emotional development, self awareness, and confidence building to allow them to meet the demands of daily living. I work closely with family members in developing home strategies including behavioral supports, environmental modifications, and visual supports, that promote growth and independence. Therapy goals focus on the formation of skills that allow the individual with ASD to improve their quality of life.

I view each child, teen, young adult, and family as unique. That uniqueness is why I draw from different therapy modalities to support emotional well-being.
