I have specific expertise in the field of pediatric (health) psychology and the assessment/treatment of very early children (the first five years). I am a graduate student working to earn my Master of Social Work from Case Western Reserve University. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from California State University, Stanislaus in 2020. My previous work experience includes case management at the Ohio Center for Survivors of Torture where I worked closely with refugees and asylum seeking people. I graduated from The Ohio State University with my Master's Degree in Social Work in 2001. I have practiced in Northeast Ohio since. During my career, I have had the pleasure of working with children, children & families, and adults with many mental health or life challenges. I have practiced at Lifestance since 2017, after having had worked for many years in community mental health and agencies serving the severely mentally ill. I have also taught the parenting classes for Domestic Relations Court, for parents who are divorcing of unmarried parents. I also have developed several areas of specialties during my years in social work.

Let's talk about grief, and loss! Have you had a major loss, a love one died, a relationship ended, loss a job/career, loss of trust, or good health? Have you experienced a traumatic event either for yourself or witnessed trauma to someone else? The Grief Recovery Method is an educational intervention that provides both group and one-on-one support to address losses of all kinds and especially includes the death of a loved one. The Grief Recovery Method can be offered as a one-on-one service or a group experience. EMDR is another supportive technique/therapy used to address traumatic life experiences and life anxieties and stresses.

Family dynamics can be one of the biggest challenges we face, and one of the most difficult things in our lives to manage. Relationships are hard, both with partners and with children.
