Not currently taking new patients. I help children, teens, and adults overcome mental health struggles and equip them with tools to better understand and cope with their challenges. When individuals are provided quality mental health care, they are able to live more healthy and empowered lives.

As a therapist, I strive to provide a safe and confidential environment for my clients to talk about their struggles. My approach is from a cognitive-behavioral model and is strength- based. I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals who are experiencing difficult challenges in managing their daily lives. My goal is to support your journey to a more healthy lifestyle. I also support families dealing with someone who is abusing substances. I opened my practice in a rural community to serve those who need access to local services at a low cost, coupled with convenience. As of April 2019, I am fully trained in EMDR.

We specialize in coming alongside families to offer help and understanding when caring for children who struggle in the areas of emotional and behavioral regulation. Children have challenges for a variety of reasons, and behaviors are just what we see on the outside that lets us know what is happening on the inside for them. At Anchor & Arrow Therapy, we are committed to looking at the whole child (brain AND body), within the context of the family, and digging deep to find the root causes for the often overwhelming and confusing behaviors children exhibit.

I am a direct, no-nonsense professional who has devoted his 40+ year career to helping people improve their lives. I work with adults (individual/couples) who are motivated to change. I work with children and teens within the structure of their family to resolve communication and behavioral difficulties. I have extensive experience working with adoptive and step families. If you are frustrated trying to connect with someone you love, yet continually experience getting stuck, outside intervention can help. What is seen as an emotional impasse to a client, is an opportunity for growth within an effective therapy.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I see clients of all ages with various presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and marital issues. My preferred area of focus is trauma. I also offer EMDR treatment.

Michelle Davis is a Licensed Independent Social Worker. She received a Master's of Social Work and a Bachelor's in Human Development from California State University, San Marcos. Michelle has been practicing since 2017. She has previous experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families in wraparound and community mental health settings. Michelle views clients through a client centered and trauma informed lens and has advanced training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her main areas of focus include anxiety, depression, behavior/oppositional defiance and trauma.

Our approach to therapy is one in which our clients are viewed as resilient and resourceful. Our office is a place where change happens. I am now offering Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy to our practice. Horses are extremely intuitive animals and are able to help facilitate change on an emotional relational level that enhances the healing process.I have had a long interest in horses and find a healing effect to be activated when in their presence. This realization was probably the most important driving force that propelled me into this horse/person connection as a modality for treatment.

My experience as a professional started in 1995 treating children and adolescents in a long term residential counseling program to private practice for 20 years.
