I have been working with families, parents, teens and children since 2008.  I have worked in a variety of therapy settings providing both group and individual therapy.  I have always enjoyed working with families and children, and being a mother myself, I feel this has allowed me to connect and support other mothers on this special and sometimes difficult journey.  I want to create a therapeutic relationship where parents and children can feel safe, comfortable and not judged.  I want your child(ren) to enjoy childhood and for you to be able to relish in the joys of parenting.  I am honored to be part of your journey.

I specialize in treating maternal mental health, young children, and women in various life transitions. I believe that providing a safe and flourishing atmosphere for individuals and families to explore and process through their hopes, fears, and past has the potential to provide immense healing. Early parenthood and life transitions often awaken a myriad of emotions from past experiences and future unknowns. This awakening can shape the way in which we and our children experience and react to the world. It takes a village, and therapy can be an important part of our village.

Getting started is the hardest part. This is true of most things requiring significant time and energy. The decision to seek psychotherapy may not sound difficult, but acting on it can be. Seeking help suggests that we can't do it alone. Whether or not we can, I believe we shouldn't have to. Life is hard. Relationships are complicated. The world throws us a curveball and we find ourselves overwhelmed, disappointed or depressed. We lose a loved one, a job or have trouble finding meaningful work. We make bad decisions, or when we make good decisions, things don't turn out as we expect.

I have worked with children, adolescents and adults with various emotional and mental health needs. My career began working with at-risk youth suffering from severe emotional disturbances. I later began working with children and families within their homes to secure a healthy balance of support and resources, while enhancing their sense of self.
