I am a licensed mental health and addictions counselor. I have over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults facing major life challenges, feeling overwhelmed by daily stressors, coping with grief and loss, experiencing depression, anxiety, and medical / chronic pain issues. My goal is to provide a safe place for you to process your thoughts, feelings, and any struggles that you may be experiencing, as well as offer empathetic listening and guidance.

You may even be the parent of an extraordinary child with special needs or emotional challenges of their own. I understand and have experienced the emotional challenges of parenting and family life. I work with children, adults, couples, and families, together we cultivate improvements in shared understanding, emotional regulation, and behavior. We will nurture emotional wellness through self compassion and trusting relationships.

I look forward to walking with clients and families on their journey towards growth and healing, and strive to create a space where clients can show up authentically and be their best selves. I have experience working with individuals of all ages, but my clinical areas of interest include work with children ages 3 to 10, as well as preteens and adolescents struggling with attachment issues, separation anxiety, behavioral challenges, trauma, disordered eating, OCD, and life transitions.

The goal for all of my clients is to improve their overall mental health and for them to gain personal growth as a result of their counseling experience. It takes bravery, commitment and mutual rapport between the client and the therapist for this journey to be successful. I provide a non-judgemental, comfortable atmosphere for all of my clients so their voices can be heard.

Someone once told me, "The best view comes after the hardest climb". Many of us have experienced loss, suffering, pain and heartache. Although we don't intend, it can be easy to stay in a feeling of defeat. Finding hope and seeing the incredible view after a journey uniquely climbed is where my passion lies.

Parenting is hard and children can be complex. Wouldn’t it be nice if on the day that you finally take your baby home from the hospital you were given a booklet on everything you need to know? How to raise your child, how to help children through worry and anxiety, stress, life transitions, and how to handle small and large traumas that may occur along the way? Unfortunately, many families find themselves at a loss, but I am here to help.

I am looking forward to aiding you through these unpredictable moments of life. I enjoy working with children ages 4-8 as well as adults 18 and older. For both children and adults, I will meet you where you’re at and am passionate to help you build meaningful connections. Part of what fuels my passion is my spirituality. I am a Christian woman but am open to working with any individual no matter belief or background. My faith can play a role in our work together or it can simply be mine.

As a body/brain-based therapist, I take an emergent approach to treating historic and intergenerational trauma as we look at personal trauma, knowing that today’s experiences are linked to trauma, resilience and the cultural/economic systems of your ancestors. Without examination of how colonialism, white supremacy, capitalism and heteropatriarchy have impacted you & your lineage, we often feel a lack of value. These oppressive structures have served to separate and disempower most, while stroking fear, isolation, perfectionism, anti-social behaviors and a never ending sense of urgency in the few who benefit.

Life throws many different challenges at us, sometimes we just need to reset and seek some support to help us navigate confidently. Relationship issues, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, and family challenges are all real issues that need our greatest attention. As a licensed mental health counselor, I will collaborate with my clients to identify their existing strengths, create and/or operationalize coping skills and mechanisms that will help them navigate life's challenging times.

I love working with high performing and Motivated clients/couples with trauma who use therapy as an avenue for healing. I'm a holistic therapist that has a balance between being client centered and personally guiding the individual towards self. I enjoy helping clients explore relationship patterns that are no longer serving them. Working with children and adolescents, I include the entire family. I have experience with kids and teens. This work requires commitment and motivation to change current patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior. I believe accountability is paramount to change I provide a safe space.
