We all need support in our lives. My name is Jessica, a relational counselor with a passion for helping people find hope and healing in the most difficult circumstances. Counseling can provide support for personal growth, self-awareness, trauma, anxiety/depression and relationships. Additionally, as a Certified Grief Counselor and Certified Child Life Specialist, I offer specialized support for children, adults, and families experiencing grief and loss, chronic/terminal medical conditions, and medical trauma. *I now only offer telehealth counseling.*

My life-long passion is to help children, adolescents, and families heal. I work with children with a range of presenting concerns including attachment, behavior, mood and anxiety. I provide evidence-based treatments within a caring, trusting therapeutic relationship. I enjoy working with children that are considered "complex" including those who have had early developmental trauma and those who have behavioral difficulties that cause significant challenges. Helping parents to become more attuned and connected allows for healing across generations.

If I were a baker or a mechanic, then who I am as a person wouldn't matter, as long as the donuts are good or your car gets fixed. However, with counseling, how you feel about your counselor matters significantly. Being a good fit is a necessity. I hope that this brief narrative gives you an idea of what working with me might look like so that you can make an informed decision if I'd be an appropriate fit for what you need. When a person is faced with life stressors, it can be hard to know how to "act" or "present themselves." An ideal client is one who recognizes that something is not right and takes the first step in seeking help. That is the most difficult part. They recognize the way they are feeling is not how they want or need to feel. It takes courage to ask for help and I understand the process of finding a therapist can be overwhelming. I have extensive experience working with early developmental trauma, difficulties with parent-child attachment, anxiety, significant life changes, and mood disorders. I am a Registered Play Therapist and trained in Family Attachment Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and EMDR with a focus on children. My goal is that you feel listened to and we find the most effective way to help your family. Whether that's by developing new parenting strategies, improving the parent-child relationship, or individual sessions where I meet with your child, we will figure out what's best for you.

Every person deserves the opportunity to feel supported and heard. My primary focus for the clients I hope to work with is assisting them in learning how to navigate their feelings and emotions in a safe environment. Struggles may range anywhere from navigating anxiety symptoms, family dynamics, social situations, or exploring and learning more about possible traumas.

June M. Forde is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has experience working with individuals of all ages. She specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and families who present with a variety of emotional, behavioral and social needs. Areas of expertise include children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositional behavior, adjustment to life stressors, self injurious behavior and parenting education. June has a special interest in working with domestic violence, trauma and child sexual abuse.

Taking the step to seek out therapy, for yourself or your child, can be difficult. I am here to make this step feel safe and easy. I work with children ages four through young adulthood who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and/or other behavioral or emotional concerns. I enjoy working with individuals struggling with emotional and physical dysregulation, modeling and practicing skills to better respond to stressors. My approach to therapy is strength based and solution focused which encourages you to build the confidence and skills to overcome life's obstacles.

The Lakeside Center for Behavioral Change provides empirically validated, effective treatment to children, adolescents and adults who suffer from OCD, trichotillomania, tic disorders, hoarding, stress, phobias, anxiety, and related conditions. The Center provides individual, group and family treatment in a professional, welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Reinardy is the Founder of the Lakeside Center and has given hundreds of presentations locally and nationally. The Center's mission is to provide effective therapeutic services to clients and offer training and consultation to other mental health providers.

You are only as happy as your unhappiest child. If your child's anxiety, ADHD, or disruptive behaviors are causing your family unnecessary stress, I can help. In working with me, you and your child will build skills and learn specific tools to manage these symptoms through a variety of techniques including mindfulness practices, cognitive-behavioral therapy, social thinking strategies, and/or Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). At this time, I am offering in-person sessions and teletherapy (e.g., HIPPA-compliant video conferencing) in North Dakota, and teletherapy exclusively to Massachusetts residents.
