I have extensive experience with all types of trauma survivors, including survivors of sexual and physical abuse. I am grounded in a solid Christian faith and am comfortable exploring aspects of spirituality. I have strengths in the areas of empathy, positivity, winning others over, and strategy.

Life is a journey that occasionally can become difficult, and even painful. Our emotions can be overwhelming, disconnected, or confusing. Our relationships can become challenging and unfulfilling. We can discover we aren't the person we ultimately hope to be. I want to help people to make sense of their struggles and for them to know they aren't alone in the challenges and suffering life brings. Through sincere interest, deep listening, and a devoted presence, my hope is that therapy can be a place to make peace with the past, find renewed joy and richness in the present, and know hope and healing for the future to come.

Through a collaborative approach, I provide individual therapy with the child, while also involving parents in the process to provide parents with the tools to support their child. My collaborative, relational, playful, light-hearted style allows me to develop a warm, compassionate therapeutic relationship with every client, which creates a safe environment for children, teens, and adults to learn the skills to manage daily life experiences.

I specialize in psychological assessment, neuropsychological testing, and developmental evaluations with individuals of all ages (toddlers through adults). The goals of such assessments are to : 1) Identify and clarify any specific difficulties, 2) Explain how a person is affected, and 3) Provide guidance for how a person can be helped best. My testing procedures are designed to be comprehensive (covering all of the referral concerns) and each evaluation is specific to the individual person. I greatly appreciate the individuals and families I work with, and I thoroughly enjoy being able to provide insight and assisting in one's personal growth.

Telehealth is a necessary and important option, but if you are looking for something different I am offering in-person family and individual therapy with children 0-12 and individual therapy with adults outside in natural areas near Minneapolis/St. Paul. Yes, we can be outside, even in the winter! We can address stress, adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, emotional and behavioral regulation problems, and trauma. My approach to therapy is supportive, warm, playful and experiential.
