I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Expressive Arts Therapist. I aim to provide a safe, supportive environment for my clients that fosters healing and growth. I believe in the significance of mind/body connection and utilizing tools that assist in the process of re-connection through mindfulness and creative techniques. I look forward to every opportunity there is in meeting with clients to support them in creating the change they envision in their lives.

Dr. Kavanagh is the owner and founder of North Shore Children's Neuropsychology, which offer neuropsychological assessment, counseling, and consultation to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families in Boston's North Shore. Dr. Kavanagh earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, her master's degree in Developmental and Educational Psychology from Boston College, and her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Virginia. She has extensive training and experience working with children as young as 2, and can offer services across the lifespan

Dr. Schneider is the owner and founder of Essex Pediatric Neuropsychology in Marblehead, MA. She is a pediatric neuropsychologist who specializes in assessing children, adolescents, and adults with learning differences (e.g., dyslexia), executive functioning deficits, inattention, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, and other developmental/ medical conditions (e.g., developmental delays, prematurity/low birth weight, concussion). Her goal is to help identify a child’s unique strengths and challenges and to advocate for the best way to support each child emotionally, socially, and academically.

I view therapy as a holistic and collaborative experience, where people can learn more about themselves and join a therapeutic alliance rooted in compassion, warmth and acceptance. I am passionate about providing care that meets my clients where they are at in innovative and flexible ways, often weaving in their strengths and interests into session.

I currently have some morning availability. I work with children, adolescents, and adults and specialize in working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, navigating relationships, and life transitions. I appreciate working with clients who recognize that a change needs to happen and are willing to take the first step to do so.

I believe what and how much you put into therapy that you are going to get out of therapy and treatment; Which truly goes with just about anything and everything in life. If you give it all you got, then you are bound to get to where you want to go and ultimately even how you choose to feel. We don't always get a choice in life, yet we are able to change how we think and look at what is in front of us and if it doesn't align with who you are and what you want, then I am here to help you along the way to become the best version of you and assist with you in achieving and feeling your best self including emotions and being as a whole.

I serve a varied population seeking improvement in multiple areas of life. Clients can be as young as three;elders are often 80 yrs+! My work is governed by the principles of respect,compassion and mutuality. I assist those with mood,anxiety,focus problems as well as multiple other disorders impeding life satisfaction. I see couples seeking balance and equity in their relationship endeavoring to strengthen it. My practice reflects the community at large; I see as many women as men and children of all ages and ethnicities. My therapeutic approach: client-centered, strengths-based and eclectic.
