Dr. Bedi is the clinical director and co-owner of New Insights Behavioral Health Services. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of specialized training in providing therapy and assessment services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. She has worked in community mental health centers and hospital settings, in both clinical and supervisory positions. Dr. Bedi has also held adjunct faculty positions at Alder University, and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and has published several papers regarding the impact of childhood trauma in adulthood.

My overarching goal for any of my clients is to have an improved life, in whatever area that they are seeking to manage and improve.

We all have rainy days. Likewise, we all have sunny days, cloudy days, and all other variations that enable us to live a fulfilled life. Yet for some of us, sometimes the 'not great' days last weeks, at times months, and even years. This makes life just that much harder to live. It makes relationships hard to make and keep, makes it difficult to succeed in school or work and impairs our ability to complete even the simplest of tasks. We can work together in order to embrace these experiences, cope with hardship in a healthy manner, move forward and live each day to the fullest.

With a cultural diverse background of her own,Marija holds a Master Degree in Counseling. She provides Immigration psychological evaluations, Counseling & Life Coaching services to children, adolescent & adult population in English, Macedonian, Serbian, Croatian, Bulgarian & Bosnian. Prior to moving to Chicago, Marija honored her skills at Lindenwood University & refined them in a research program at Washington Uni. School of Medicine, Psychiatry, under supervision of Dr. Ginger Nicol.She set those skills to trial, & enriched them while working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting with acute cases at CLSH.

Therapy has the potential to be incredibly healing, but also comes from a history of harm, having othered people on the basis of age, race, gender, sexuality, spirituality, and disability. I offer a trauma-responsive relationship through which we can explore narrative healing of your authentic self, commitments to anti-oppressive and anti-racist living, anti-adultist parenting support, and supportive community and relationship building.

Clients that come to me for issues regarding their dissatisfaction with their progress on overcoming their challenges in life. Life issues range from traumatic experiences, LGBTQ issues, addictions & substance use disorders, spiritual problems, career problems, chronic illness, child & parenting issues as well as family imbalances. They want change and they want it with someone who can connect with them in real ways that help them know they are cared for, can be confident, and can overcome the challenges that confront them.

I understand that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in a positive therapeutic experience, and as such, I believe that psychotherapy is just as much of a place to laugh and celebrate joys as it is a place to grieve and manage disappointments. I am Dr. Sylvia Kobe, and I am a Licensed Clinical psychologist. My associate Dr. Mary-Zitta Muabe and I collaborate to cover a broad counseling spectrum. Together Dr. Muabe and I specialize in marriage, family therapy, and spiritual maturity. We also work with teens, young adults, and individuals battling anxiety, depression, or struggles to cope with every-life issues. We believe in empowering our clients, encouraging them to see that life is all about second chances, and with the right kind of intervention, the best is yet to come.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Illinois with over 15 years of experience working with individuals, children and families. In my practice, I have successfully helped clients improve their family and interpersonal relationships, cope with grief and loss, find ways to address difficult situations, navigate life transitions and survive unexpected life events. I am committed to helping you work through the difficulties and celebrate the joyful moments in life. I use an individualized, strengths-based approach to ensure both child and parent feel understood and working towards common goals. My experience in both intensive and long-term services make me well-equipped to help with any range of behavioral needs, incl. ADHD, anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, and other social/emotional needs. My focus is on the building of lagging skills and emotional development to decrease behavioral challenges and increase self esteem.
