I am a Licensed Psychologist with 25 years of experience working with children, adults and families. I also have a specialization in child and adolescent psychology. The mission of my practice is to promote growth and well-being for all individuals so that they can reach their highest potential in all areas of their lives. I offer individualized services in a family friendly, nurturing and caring environment. I limit the number of clients that I treat in order to provide the best research-based treatment possible. I am fluent in Spanish and am able to provide all services in this language.

My ideal client is someone who is navigating life’s challenges and is ready to make a change. They may be dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, and self-esteem, and their goal is to improve their mental health and overall well-being. They want to understand and manage their emotions better, improve their relationships, and find their path in life.

But one thing all of the clinicians have in common is a strength based, client centered approach. All of the clinicians are Masters level or licensed in the state of Florida.

Opening up the door to heal trauma can be scary. However, it is not a journey that you have to go on alone. I am a licensed and board-certified therapist with experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced various forms of trauma. My work is driven by a person-centered approach through a trauma-informed lens. I believe that it is important to understand how lived experiences and traumas can impact one’s life. I have a passion for walking alongside clients in their healing journey and inspiring hope.

I provide support to children, adolescents, and pregnant/post-partum women. I strive to ensure that my clients feel supported, respected, and above all else, moving forward in a positive direction.

We understand that every child is different. Bright Horizon's Board Certified Consultants develop individualized programs to fit the unique needs of your child. We also provide therapy sessions with Spanish speaking therapists.

Dr. Jenna Calton is currently accepting new clients. She specializes in providing cognitive behavioral therapy to kids and teens with mood and behavior problems, with specific expertise in working with very young children (9 months and up) and their parents to improve attachment and behavior, as well as providing trauma-focused treatments to youth. The treatments she uses are all evidence-based and time-limited, offering clients peace of mind knowing that research has shown the treatment can work. Dr. Calton provides in-person and telehealth services in FL, as well as telehealth services in DC, MD, and VA.

My approach to therapy focuses on your goals and preferences while maintaining an approach that has been clinically proven to bring about change. I have received training in both long-term and short-term treatment options in order to best meet the needs of my clients. For instance, some clients prefer interpersonal, insight-oriented treatment while others may tend towards a cognitive and behavioral treatment. I work in a collaborative manner in order to assess what option would best achieve your goals.
